Disney Store: Oxford Street, London
Guest Author: Dan Brace from Character Central
The Disney Store on Oxford Street in London, UK, is the UK’s largest store, and one of the largest in Europe (I think only Madri may be bigger).
The store was moved and redesigned in summer 2011, and now reflects the new “Magic Park” style seen at other locations around the world. The Oxford Street store though has its own twist, and most of the character silhouettes on the walls have a British theme, depicting London landmarks with British Disney characters next to, on or around them. The store sells all the regular Disney Store merchandise, which sadly for the most part is the same world over these days, but does offer a few uniqie London items, including plushes, pins, magnets and other small items.
It’s a fun store, on two floors that is always busy. You can trade pins with the Cast Members, and they are in the heart of London’s busiest shopping district, making it easily accessible with no excuse not to visit!
